When the Community Catalyst Foundation held its Board Induction, it wasn't a typical meeting with slides and charts. Instead, the Board chose to walk the land and listen directly to the people.
The meeting was truly enlightening. Board members sat with residents, listening to stories of both struggle and strength. For many, this first-hand encounter was a profound eye-opener. These honest conversations have already changed how the Foundation works. By listening to what the students actually need and wish for, the Board has moved beyond just "overseeing" things. They have become active advocates for the community.
This wasn’t just an orientation; it was a promise to the people of Azaro. As the Board members left, the message was clear: our decisions won't be based on theories or guesses, but on the real lives and faces of the people we serve. We are building a future that is rooted in the reality of our community.
