Inspired by the fierce spirit and nurturing power of the lioness, and the saying in Alur that translates to the lioness catches the prey, our Lamvor Ma Daku programme is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to fostering the dignity, growth, and resilience of women across the nation, to support them better catch the prey, whatever that prey may be.
The program is designed to comprehensively empower women by providing resources and training tailored to their self-identified needs and aspirations. This includes developing technical and vocational skills for economic independence, enhancing personal and professional skills like public speaking and leadership, fostering business acumen for entrepreneurship, and offering holistic support to build confidence and networks, inter alia, ultimately enabling women to achieve their diverse goals, whatever they may be.
Lamvor Ma Daku is a movement. It's about providing the catalytic resources, the unwavering support, and the empowering environment for Ugandan women to break barriers, realize their dreams, and become the true lionesses they are meant to be. We believe that by investing in women, we invest in the very heart and future of Uganda.
